Marla Quilts Inc is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in Lawrence, KS.

Marla Quilts Inc has been awarded two grants in support of the Maria Rogers Martin Living History Portable Mural project: $3000 Interpretive Grant from Freedom’s Frontier and $7500 New & Expanded Works grant from the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission in partnership with National Endowment for the Arts.

This project has support from local organizations including the Lawrence Public Library, Watkins Museum of History, and KU’s Spencer Museum of Art, each of whom has agreed to partner with us and host public events in the Fall of 2022.

Marla Quilts Inc partners with Freedom's Frontier National Heritage Area and is a member of the National Parks Service’s Underground Railroad Network to Freedom.

Marla Quilts Inc has received written letters of support for this project from organizations such as the Kansas Department of Commerce, the City of Lawrence, Watkins Museum of History, the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, and Explore Lawrence. We appreciate their support and yours!
